Plastic grade stearate series

Stearate is a type of additive with many functions used in many products, which can bring many benefits to the polymer product. We can divide these benefits into three main areas:

First, act as acid neutralizing agent in polyolefin: It has a direct contribution to the stability of polyolefin color and corrosion protection;

Second, as a role of lubrication/processing aids: to improve the polyolefin, polyamide, styrenics and rubber in the extrusion molding (film, fiber, copying, etc.) and press molding ability.

Third, as mold release agent for thermoplastics, rubber and thermosetting products, such as polyurethane foam and unsaturated polyester.Stearate products can be divided into zinc stearate, calcium stearate and other metal salts.

Physical and chemical properties: this product is white powder, non-toxic, flammable, specific gravity 1.095, dissolving point≥118。C，insoluble in water, ethanol, soluble in heat organic solvent and acid. In the organic solvent after heating and cooling into a colloid, strong acid easily decomposed into stearic acid and the corresponding zinc salt, water absorptionin the air.
